Shorter!

Stock up on body scrubs and self-tanners - the season of short shorts is upon us. After the previous year of 2023, when lingerie became full-fledged clothing and miniskirts shrunk to micro sizes, it's no wonder that shorts have taken center stage in the 2024 spring-summer collections.

If 2022 was the year of microskirts and 2023 was the year of rhinestone-embellished panties, then 2024 will be the year of suit-style micro-shorts, a more modest version of last year's fashion experiments. The most memorable looks were showcased by Gucci's creative director Sabato de Sarno, as well as at Chanel, Alexander McQueen, and Isabel Marant. In addition, micro-shorts fit perfectly into the current Y2K trend.

The most delightful aspect of this trend, aside from the opportunity to show off one's slender, well-groomed legs to the world, is that brands such as Tom Ford, Gucci, and SASHAVERSE have approached the issue with the expertise of a tailor and have made shorts a part of a suit. Well-tailored and perfectly fitting shorts pair nicely with a well-cut blazer, shirt, or even a light coat or loose trench.

For added elegance, you can throw on a leather belt. So, this long-legged trend has every chance of becoming a favorite for the transition from spring to summer (in case it actually happens this year) and ceasing to be exclusively a summer trend.

Take a cue from Princess Diana and Hailey Bieber.
